Introducing the International Non Profit Reporting Foundation

The work of IFR4NPO will be continued by INPRF.

The creation of the Foundation

The establishment of the Foundation was announced on 1 October 2025, by founding members CIPFA and Humentum.

It is a non-profit public interest entity and completes the trio of international accounting standard setting bodies:

  • International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation (for-profits)
  • International Public Sector Accounting Standard Board (governments)
  • International Non Profit Reporting Foundation (non-profits)

Continuity

The project partners, CIPFA and Humentum, are the founder members of the Foundation, and will be joined by other non-profit organisations from the sector and the accountancy profession.

The team at the heart of the project will form the initial staff of the new Foundation:

This ensures continuity of knowledge and relationships, while laying the foundation for growth.

A future for INPAS

INPAS is the final output from the work of the IFR4NPO Project.

INPAS now has a secure home, that ensures its long term maintenance, adoption and governance, realising the benefits of harmonisation for NPOs, funders and regulators.
